About Offshore Rebates

What we do

Offshore Rebates Ltd are tax specialists for the Oil, Gas and Wind Industry. Unlike other tax reclaim services we specialise in one area enabling us to focus and develop our knowledge of a constantly changing industry and the HMRC tax guidance that relates to it.

Many Offshore Workers are not aware how to claim the tax relief available to them or simply what they can actually claim for. HMRC define a work related expense must be incurred “wholly, exclusively and necessarily in the performance of the duties of the employment”. In an ever changing industry it is our job to identify the relevant claimable expenditure and ensure that this is done in the correct manner.

Offshore Workers can claim tax relief for travel expenses for what the HMRC deem to be “temporary workplaces” – which they define as less than 24 months.

Employees may receive an allowance from their employer for the above, but in many instances, this can be less than they are actually entitled to under HMRC guidance.
